Our commitment to a better future
One of the priorities of our company is the attention to the environment: we are committed daily to limit as much as possible the impact of our activities on the ecosystem and we join several initiatives that go in the direction of a more sustainable world.
The first major improvement was made in 2008, when on the initiative of Pierino Maestri our company was equipped with a photovoltaic system of 35.20 kWh installed on the roof of one of the plants, which produces an average of about 33,000 kWh per year, equal to 35-40% of the company’s needs.
In 2016 we adhered to the Q-Cumber environmental management system, which analyzes the environmental impact of companies, particularly with regard to atmospheric emissions, drawing up an annual report in which the impact data detected through a system of environmental sensors are highlighted. This helps to strengthen ecological awareness and appropriately guide our business choices.
In 2019, two important improvements for the sustainability of our company were carried out: in January, all asbestos roofing was replaced with multilayer insulated panels, thus improving the energy performance of the plant as well as safety in terms of walkability; a few months later, a new laser cutting system took the place of an old plasma sheet metal cutting system, significantly optimizing the production process, and eliminating a point of emission into the atmosphere.
In 2020 our company purchases an electric car, and a recharging station is installed in the parking lot.
