The muffle furnace was developed to efficiently handle the treatment of varying quantities and different sizes.

It features the same construction technique as the previously mentioned furnaces, but with loading and unloading of material directly into the chamber.

Dimensions can vary from internal volumes of a few dm³ to several m³ depending on the sizing to be processed and the temperatures to be reached. The machines are designed with different techniques depending on the type of use.

This type of furnace is widely used for premature ageing processes of aluminum alloys.
